the process:
BTS
made with love
At 16 I got a job in a sportshop, it's probably the first time I was exposed to clothes... later that year I got a better paying job in sixth form, I started buying my own clothes, started thrifting... At 17, lock down happened, as I was a "keyworker" I picked up more hours, but I was also venturing into more experimental and abstract pieces - acid washes, tie dyes, pink joggers, mixed camo jumpers - a skater / gbc vibe... When I was 19 years old - I dropped a clothing brand with my friend, we got 2 sales on some balaclavas and made a net loss of about £120/$150.
At 20, just before I started the betterself movement, I was buying and selling vintage nike jumpers on depop, I bought on vinted - sold on depop. I sold a decent amount of clothes in general. Now at 22 I'm going into my actual clothing line, I have so many ideas, maybe some not merch appropriate but man I'm gonna make so much. These t-shirts are a piece of me, more than the page, they pay homage to the years are reckless purchases, I bought some really random stuff but man I felt awesome.
As of today, 10/11/2025 - to the Taylor of the future, I hope you took this somewhere. I hope you haven't quit, & if you're reading this whilst in a quitting phase, I want you to start again. You are one of the greats, you've known this from early, this is a way to prove it. Also pick up that guitar & go to mma again. Don't be so hooked on money, more impact yeah? don't store your money here, get a mustang, a harley & a cabin, that's it, USE THE REST, I love you, I'm doing this for you.
There are a few reasons I chose each design.
I feel there is a limit to creative expression on Instagram,
I like making you happy
I like hitting the algorithm and going crazy with numbers...
but being creative isn't guaranteed to do either of those
so I end up compromising some creativity...
with clothing tho...
I can do anything,
especially with a goated Italian designer as a partner
I can speak and draft then this guy materialises everything
I gave him the ideas & this guy returned things better than I could have imagined...
So don't just see these t-shirts as a get-rich-quick scheme,
They're really not, there's not crazy return on them - they're bape / supreme level quality
not print on demand
It's just an extension of the page - coming away from the virtual into reality...
But here's the process...
MOCKUPS:
"LOVE WINS"
I think love wins is a favourite of mine, it's such a simple idea,
but it does go deeper than the surface level,
How do you heal a broken heart? with love
How do you heal a broken soul? with love
What is the only way to end evil from continuing?
It's when you repay evil with a form of love...
Not responding back in hate but responding back in patience, temperance & kindness.
This t-shirt pays homage to my faith,
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
John 15:13
His love, his patience with me, saved me,
& from him alone, I find peace.
THE LOGO:
The logo tee was completely by my designer,
he reconstructed the bsr profile picture,
and used the stars in such a way
lowkey I think longterm, this is the logo I'll use for casual clothing,
It's not too noisey - dw there will be different colours...
THE EARF:
The abstract pink earth - this, I'm gatekeeping
It's the first back print tee I actually rep,
It's the first design I did
It comes from a friends old brand called "nightmare studios"
based in Belgium
but I think they closed down...
I will make it into a sticker tho :)
